Individuals
Individual tax services
Careful federal tax preparation and clear guidance for households, employees, retirees, investors, and self-employed taxpayers across the United States.
What we prepare
Federal individual income tax returns
Your return should reflect your whole financial picture. We take the time to understand it.
Employees (W-2)
Returns for wage earners, including multiple employers, job changes during the year, and adjustments to withholding going forward.
Self-employed & side income
Reporting of income and expenses for freelancers, gig workers, and independent contractors, including guidance on estimated tax payments.
Families & dependents
Filing status, dependents, and the credits and deductions that may apply to your household, based on your eligibility.
Investment income
Reporting of interest, dividends, and sales of stocks or other investments, including organizing statements you receive.
Retirement & benefits
Pension and retirement account distributions, Social Security considerations, and common situations facing retirees.
Rental & other income
Reporting of rental activity and other less common income sources, so nothing is missed.
Education & life changes
Student-related credits, marriage, divorce, a new child, buying or selling a home, or a move, and how each can affect your return.
Prior-year & amended returns
Help with returns that were not filed on time or that need correction, so you can get current.
Planning & guidance
Beyond preparing the return
A return only looks backward. We also help you think ahead.
Tax consultation
A focused conversation about your situation, such as a new job, side business, or investment, so you know what to expect at filing time.
Withholding & estimated payments
Guidance on whether your withholding or quarterly estimates are in line with your income, to help you avoid surprises.
Understanding IRS notices
If you receive a notice, we can help you read it, understand what it is asking, and identify your options. Representation before the IRS depends on professional credentials, which we will confirm with you.

Questions
Individual tax FAQ
What about my state tax return?
State rules vary. Some states have no individual income tax (Texas is one example), while others do, and your situation may involve more than one state. We confirm what applies to you during your consultation.
I am self-employed. Can you help?
Yes. We help you organize your income and expenses, prepare your return, and think through estimated tax payments so you are prepared throughout the year.
What if I missed filing a prior year?
Reach out as soon as you can. We will review what is needed and help you get current. Filing late returns sooner generally limits additional penalties and interest.
How do I send my documents?
We will arrange a secure method during your consultation. Please do not email Social Security numbers, bank details, or tax documents.
How long does it take?
Timing depends on how complete your documents are and on how busy filing season is. We will give you a realistic expectation after your consultation.
Ready to talk?
Tell us about your situation by email and we will follow up to schedule a consultation, in person or virtually. Your first conversation is about understanding what you need.
